Michelle McGhan, better known as Mitchy, is a Los Angeles freelance director and nu assistant director. She hails from the epicenter of Berkeley, California. After graduating high school, she decided to pack her bags and head off to the frozen tundra of Chicago to attend Columbia College Chicago receiving a degree in Cinema Art + Science concentrating in directing and post-production.
Her 15-minute directing thesis film, a Korean language spoken film, Jeong, was an official selection at the Asian Film Festival, LA Hollywood and at the Silicon Valley Asian Pacific Film Fest. It has premiered and won “Best Original Score” at the Verimose Film Festival. Since moving out to Los Angeles, California in January 2018, Mitchy has produced several short films and web series that premiered on YouTube and in the festival circuit.
Her most notable producing work, sponsored by AdamandEve, Her First Time, has over twenty-one million views on YouTube. Mitchy has co-written and co-created a sex positive web series, Hot Summer Daze, showcasing those in the LGBTQ+ community and ethnic minorities, which has over four million views and is executive produced by Erika Lust. She has worked with Sony Music to produce a music video to promote the Weeknd’s single Lost in the Fire.
She moved out from the bitter, cold winters of Chicago to the always sunny, Los Angeles in hopes to create passionate projects through film.
